Sanjay Shah and Vistex President Vishwanath Raju Datla were making a dramatic entrance in an iron cage being lowered onto a stage during a company party when a cable snapped, reported the Times of India.

A disturbing video captured the moment when the yellow cage, which was suspended near the beams, began to swing violently as fireworks exploded. A voice was heard urging the crowd to unite in support of the duo.
Unfortunately, the cage suddenly collapsed, causing the two leaders of the Illinois-based company to fall 15 meters to the ground, equivalent to the height of a one-story building. The video shows one of the men completely flipping over and landing headfirst on the ground.
Sanjay Shah did not survive the impact of the accident. Datla was seriously injured and is in critical condition.
Although a broken cable was initially cited as the cause, authorities are investigating the incident and the faulty cage, which was hoisted by a winding machine and had iron cables and grilles.
Shah and Datla were in India to celebrate the silver jubilee of Vistex Asia, a two-day event held at the renowned Ramoji Film City.
Vistex, founded by Shah in 1999, is a service consulting firm with over 20 global offices and an extensive client list including GM, Yamaha, Coca-Cola, and others.
